For his latest creation, commissioned by the Opéra Royal de Versailles, Thierry Malandain brings together Vivaldi?s Four Seasons and the Four Seasons composed by Giovanni Antonio Guido. Bringing these two compositions together in the same program is an audacious gamble, because apart from being contemporary and celebrating nature, they are quite different.
With Les Saisons, Thierry Malandain consistently pursues the path he has blazed with his latest ballets, exploring the relationship between humankind and nature.
