Located north of Anglet, La Barre is marked by its proximity to the mouth of the Adour river

This beach is the quietest on the coast, nestled between two long groynes
Since the first World Surfing Championships were organised in 1968, this small beach has been world famous
Today, the waves are less present because of the dikes that surround it, which makes it a place of retreat on days of heavy swell

On the edge of the beach, a skating rink and lakes make this place unique. A space dedicated to urban sliding and a major environmental achievement "Izadia" are installed there since 2007
