The Avalanche spot is located in front of the Alcyons pier, at the end of the Port of Guéthary.
This spot is one of the big spots of the Basque coast. It is a long left that breaks off the pier of Alcyons and which can reach 5 meters. You need at least 2.5 meters of swell for the wave to start working, and ideally an offshore south/southeast wind.
Reserved for experts and pros, this long left takes all its splendor as soon as the swell rises to more than 4, 5 and 6 meters.
